Audio engineer and Musician
ABOUT
Hi, I'm Angus. I have a Bachelor of Audio from SAE Perth and I'm looking to put my skills to the test! I am a lifelong instrumentalist who's always had a passion for music. After studying music throughout high school, I considered pursuing a career in performance, however after looking more and more into audio engineering, I found I had a real passion for it. Now I'm hoping to combine my passion for performance with a diverse knowledge of the audio world as a whole. I've worked in studios and have helped set up numerous live gigs now and hope to continue learning and developing my skills in both live music and post production.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
DAW MIXING
I am profficient with Ableton and ProTools and have used both to mix tracks I have performed myself and that have been performed by other artists.
PEOPLE SKILLS
I have always been an outgoing and approachable person and I enjoy making sure those around me feel comfortable and happy. I have added to this through years of working in hospitality, which has taught me how to navigate tough social situations.
RECORDING
I have had access to multiple recording studios throughout my time at SAE and have run recording sessions on multiple occassions. I have used a wide range of audio equipment and have an understanding of what works well for each setting.
MUSICAL PERFORMANCE
I am a multi-instrumentalist and have a long background in musical performance. I studied percussion at John Curtin College of the Arts and I am a singer, guitarist and pianist in bands that play around Perth.
